beta program

Retail Budgeting, First. Open to Buy, Second.

Yesterday on March 2, 2010, I announced the scheduled release of DataWorks top down Budgeting module for NeXT® - our inventory control software for the Hospitality and Entertainment industries. The 55 minute seminar was recorded and can be watched by clicking here.

Here are the facts if  you don't have 55 minutes to spare:

The module will first ship with top down budgeting. That will be followed by a bottom up, open to buy planning add-on in 2011.  Those who purchase now will receive the bottom up plan extension at no additional charge.

We are signing up beta sites now. The beta release is set for April 19, 2010. You software will be updated with the budgeting module on that day.

The module price of  $5,000 USD  is being waived for the beta group.  License agreements, training, professional services,  and maintenance fees will still apply. (We got a make a buck too.)

If you are interested in being in the beta program,  post a comment to this blog entry or send us  an email by using our web site's contact us page . Its a first come first serve program.  Yesterday I said the first three clients. Today my staff talked me into the first ten.

So, the first ten existing clients to sign up for the budgeting module Beta get it at no charge.

The general release of the module is set for June 7, 2010. That is a couple weeks prior to the  HITEC exhibition in Orlando, so it fits nicely into our press release -exhibition-marketing needs. We will be set up for full demos of the module at the show.

Happy budgeting and remember to include us during your capital budget for next year. Speaking of capital - if you are a hosted or SaaS (software as a service) client you can add this module into your monthly subscription after June 7th.  The additional per planner / per month fee will be announced after the beta program ends.
